Autosuggestions are verbal or visual cues that plant seeds in your powerful subconscious mind that directly influence your conscious thoughts. You have been influenced by autosuggestions everyday of your life without your knowledge, some of which were good and some of which were bad. How you think of yourself, what you think of others, what you think is good, and what you think is bad, were planted into your subconscious mind by autosuggestions. The thing is, once you learn what autosuggestions are and how they work, you can change your life, and more importantly, you can change the way you think. For you will be consciously aware of
all incoming autosuggestions, and
you will consciously choose which ones you want to accept
and which ones you want to reject.
WHAT IS
AUTOSUGGESTION
An
example of an autosuggestion is, “Wow, your eyes are Amazing!” which is a positive autosuggestion. “What a Jerk!” is a negative autosuggestion. Both plants seeds in your subconscious mind and influence how you think of yourself and what you think others think of you. The closer the person is to you,
the more emotionally attached you are to them, the more impact their autosuggestion has on you.
Autosuggestion is a passive, yet very effective, form of brainwashing. You can actually change, not only, how you think, but you can change how others think, and how they think of you. Spooky? Yes it is. But like anything, it can be used for both good and evil. That is why it is very important for you to use autosuggestion with and through the power and love of God. For when you are working through the love of God,
he will not allow you to use this very powerful tool for anything but good.
IDENTIFYING
AND NEUTRALIZING INCOMING NEGATIVE AUTOSUGGESTIONS
Every autosuggestion, you have received in your life has molded you into the person you are today, whether that is good or bad, or whether if you like yourself or you do not. Know one thing, from this point forward, you will be conscious of all incoming autosuggestions and be able to choose which ones you will accept and which ones you will not.
From this point forward if someone says something negative, you will identify it, reject it, and counter it with a positive suggestion. Example: “You can’t do that, you’re not smart enough.” Listen, filter, identify, accept or reject. In this case, you would identify “can’t or cannot” and “not smart enough,” and reject them. Then you would counter them with a loud and passionate voice, “Yes I can, and
I am quite Intelligent!” Your voice is to be passionate, not aggressive, or have an angry tone. Your voice should be more of excitement, and a way of assuring this is to smile while saying it. In
this way, you do not put off, or upset the person that said this, yet you neutralize their position.
Let us do a couple more.
This time a boss, or a parent, or a person in authority over you says something like, “What, are you an idiot!” Your immediate response (in a positive tone), “Actually, with all due respect, I am quite intelligent!” Now this may put them on guard, for they will have recognized their mistake, so you need to calm the situation down by saying something like, “but you being one of my mentors I am sure you will be able to guide me.” So putting it all together, “Actually, with all due respect, I am quite Intelligent, and with you being one of my mentors, I am sure you will be able to guide me.” You just successfully neutralized their negative autosuggestion, and defused the situation, while enhancing that person’s view of you.
In this next example, let us say that a friend says something you understand, but you still need to block the negative autosuggestion, “You’re acting like a Jerk!” Stop, pause, and analyze your behavior, “I apologize, but I am not a Jerk!”
Now that you have learned how to identify, reject, and neutralize a negative autosuggestion said at you, it is time to learn how to identify, and neutralize your own negative self-suggestions. For the worse thing you can be is a negative thinker, for thinking negatively will, only draws more negative in your life.
So first, let us find out if you are a negative thinker, and if you are, to show you how to change that status immediately. Let us begin by defining what a negative thought is; a negative thought is any thought that makes you feel bad and that generates a negative emotion like anger, fear, frustration, nervousness, sadness, sorrow, grief, or impatience. If you feel any of those negative emotions for more than a fleeting moment at any time, than yes, you are a negative thinker.
Please do not worry (which is another negative emotion) for you are about to learn how to use self-suggestion to become a positive thinker. Positive thinkers think in such a way that they continuously feel positive emotions like happiness, excitement, hope, joy, love, and gratitude. That does not mean they do not experience a negative feeling or emotion, no, on the contrary, but they do not allow themselves to harbor that feeling. They quick recognize it and change it back to a positive thought, a positive feeling.
The first step is to become conscious of your thoughts, just like you are now conscious of incoming autosuggestions. You need to filter you thoughts, without going crazy, because we have thousands of thoughts each day. The most effective way to monitor your thoughts is by monitoring your feelings. For while we have thousands of thoughts, our strongest thoughts dominate our feelings. So how do you feel? Good or Bad. If you are feeling anger, frustration, nervousness, scared, sad, guilt then you are feeling bad, and you need to change that feeling quickly. One way is to immediately think of things you like, or things that make you feel good, or to create a positive saying that you will repeat at least three times very quickly, “God
Loves me and that feels Great! God Loves me and that feels Great!
Gods Loves me and that feels Great!” Then immediately smile because a smile will drive you and those around you to feel good. Check yourself again, “How Do I Feel?” If you feel good, move on, otherwise repeat and this time close your eyes, and relax.
AUTOSUGGESTION
& HEALTH
When
God created us, He created an incredible being; one that is capable
of healing itself as long as it is functioning properly. We
talked about incoming autosuggestions and internal
self-suggestions. There is another and it is also internal,
but it is driven by the emotional feeling of guilt caused by
sin. When we sin, that sin weighs on our subconscious, and
until we cleanse our soul, by first acknowledging the sin to God,
and asking Him for forgiveness, it eats at us and causes are body
not to function properly. The more we sin, the more stress it
puts on our body, and it is that stress that causes our body to
function improperly. Our body will fight, but in time it will
lose its ability and that is when diseases are created. It is
no different than if you smoke, overeat, don't exercise, and just
treat your body badly. Over time, the body will lose its
ability to function properly and disease will step in. So
first and foremost, try not to sin, and when you do, ask for it to
be forgiven in the name of Jesus, and God, will forgive you and he
will cleanse your soul & your subconscious mind so that the sin
is forgotten.
Doctors need to learn that their words are powerful, for they have the ability to promote someone’s health or deteriorate it with just their words. For it has been proven that when a doctor tells a patient they are getting better, and the patient believes it, that patient gets better faster. It has also been proven, that when a doctor gives a patient a sugar pill (placebo) and says, “Take these and it will make you better.” Again, if the patient believes it, they get better just as fast as a patient that is taking real medication. The reason, their autosuggestion planted the seed of health in their subconscious mind, and it is the subconscious mind, that controls all the body’s involuntary functions – including healing and cell regeneration.
Now if a patient does not want to believe they are going to get better, they simply will not, for their thoughts of dying will in fact destroy them, regardless of what a doctor says or does to prevent it.
On the other hand, a doctor’s autosuggestion can also expedite someone’s death if that autosuggestion is accepted. I have a friend that was told he had 2-years to live. 15-years later he is still here and enjoying life. His doctors do not understand it, his condition has not changed, but he does – He is not ready to die. Autosuggestion is a very powerful aid in this type of situation, for it unleashes the power of the subconscious mind to do its thing, and that is to heal. Now, if my friend, had a strong religious belief, he would not only still be here, he would be cured by now. For the body regenerates itself every three years. Meaning, as old cells die, new cells are generated, and if you are consciously aware of this fact, and you utilize your conscious thoughts, in conjunction with the Power and Love of God, every new cell generated would be a healthy cell and wipe out every illness or disease in the body.
Again, autosuggestion is a very powerful aid in this type of situation, but nothing is as powerful as the power and love of God. For he can keep you calm, your mind positive, your discomfort in check, all while expediting your cure. The secret is calming the mind and body so the subconscious mind can do it thing; to remain positive in health, positive in mind, and positive in spirit, thus being positive in action.
How the conscious mind helps is by planting positive seeds of health into the subconscious, and neutralizing and rejecting negative thoughts as they creep into our conscious thought. This is done by getting into a quiet space and then closing your eyes and seeing yourself healthy, running a long a beach, or running up a giant set of steps, or playing golf, or swimming, or whatever you think of that you would do being healthy. While at the same time, throughout the day, saying the following with feeling, “By the grace of God I am getting stronger and stronger!” “By the Grace of God, I am healed!” “By the grace of God, I am alive and well!”
It is important, that you work with your doctors, and do whatever treatments they want to do (where you have three doctors who agree). Nevertheless, seeing yourself healthy in your own mind is key, and that may require you to exercise as much as you possibly can. To eat as healthy as you can. If you can lift a 2-pound weight, you will be amazed at what type of conditioning you can do with it. It is called
controlled movement, where you move slow and steady in both directions.
OTHER
AUTOSUGGESTION USES
You can use autosuggestion for anything, and I mean anything. It can help you acquire wealth, help you get that promotion at work, or if you are a student, better grades. It can help you to motivate yourself to achieve goals, or even in love to win over that potential soul mate. It can be use to repair relationships with spouses, and friends.
Example: If you know someone that is negative, you can begin to change them by planting positive autosuggestions in their mind. Let us say you have a friend that is bad at golf, and you hear them say, “I suck!” Your immediate response, “No you Don’t! You’re getting BETTER every game we play!” And, they may respond (and neutralize your positive autosuggestion), “Yeah, sure!” Your auto response, “Are you kidding me, I see it with every stroke!” Now, you can even see if your autosuggestion is working or not by watching how they play their next hole. If they play it better, your autosuggestion took hold. Re-enforce it a few more times and watch how fast you dramatically change them and their game.
If you are like me, about now, your mind is flooding with ideas of how you can use this -- let us do another example.
Let us say your relationship with your spouse has deteriorated a little bit. You can start with little autosuggestions like, “You know Baby, I am so lucky to have you into my life.” “You know Sweetheart, you are best part of my life.” With those suggestions you start changing the way your spouse is thinking of your relationship. Now you have to follow those up with positive actions such as, giving them a back rub, helping them with chores and activities. Then you need to work on yourself with autosuggestions of good memories, and good feelings of your mate. This reinforces your bound and promotes positive thoughts.
You now have the idea how autosuggestion works, and how you can use it to change not only yourself, but how you can use it to change everyone and everything around you. Nevertheless, you can magnify or intensify the change you want when you utilize autosuggestion with the power and love of God and our Lord Jesus Christ. For the Lord has the power to change things, even when you see No Way! Second, when working through the power and love of God, you have assurance that what you are doing will be positive. Third, when working through the power and love of God, you will never fail! |
