MATTHEW 9:27-31
Jesus Heals Two Blind Men
As Jesus was walking along, two blind men began following him and shouting, "Son of David,
have pity on us!"
After Jesus had gone indoors, the two blind men came up to him.
He asked them, "Do you believe I can make you well?"
"Yes, Lord," they answered.
Jesus touched their eyes and said, "Because of your faith, you will be healed."
They were able to see, and Jesus strictly warned them not to tell anyone about him.
But they left and talked about him to everyone in that part of the country.
MATTHEW 20:29-34
Jesus Heals Two Blind Men
(Mark 10.46-52; Luke 18.35-43)
Jesus was followed by a large crowd as he and his disciples were leaving Jericho.
Two blind men were sitting beside the road. And when they heard that Jesus was coming their way, they shouted, "Lord and Son of David,
have pity on us!"
The crowd told them to be quiet, but they shouted even louder, "Lord and Son of David, have pity on us!"
When Jesus heard them, he stopped and asked, "What do you want me to do for you?"
They answered, "Lord, we want to see!"
Jesus felt sorry for them and touched their eyes.
Right away they could see, and they became his followers. |
