YOUR HEALING PRAYER
Learning How To Live

Bible Says

Things to do

Things not to do

Jesus said, "No one can live only on food. People need every word that God has spoken." Thus we are to read the Bible so that we know what God has said.

Jesus said, "Worship the Lord your God and serve only him."  Do not worship or put anything in before God.  I have heard people say, "My priorities are right; Family, God, Work." As much as one is to love their family, You are to love God more than even your own family.

Jesus says we are to let our Christian spirit shine for all to see.  So that we honor God by doing good works and never taking credit for them.  Thus bring honor and glory to God.

Jesus says we are to go in person to reconcile (to ask for forgiveness and to forgive) with all those that we have sin against or that have sin against us, before we ask Him to forgive our sins.  And Jesus says we are to do this quickly, so that we are not judged for these unforgiven sins and have to pay the penalty for them.  For He says, we will pay until every last cent worth is fulfilled.

Jesus says we are to fulfill and honor all our promises, because any promise made becomes your promise to God to fulfill and honor.

Jesus says we are to give to those that ask or want to borrow.

Jesus says we are to love our enemies and are to pray for those that persecute you, so that you are acting like a true child of God.

Jesus says we are to give money or perform good deeds for others privately.

Jesus says we to pray in private to assure our prayers are heard and answered.

Jesus says we are to pray like this:
"Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."
Or in other words, your prayers should be sincere.

Jesus says, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."

Jesus says by our faith we receive, and the bible points to numerous healings, and miracles to re-enforce this point.

Jesus says we are to be merciful.

Jesus says we are to tell others we belong to him, so that he will in turn tell the Father we are his followers.

Jesus says we are to welcome all who come in his name into our homes, and to treat them well.

Jesus tells us when our burdens are heavy we are to lend on him and he will give us rest.

Jesus tells us, we are to keep the word of God in front of our eyes, and to follow its teachings daily, so that our roots grow deep and our faith is strong, so that we can survive being tested.

Jesus tell us we are to follow the words and teachings of God, for they are truth. God's word teaches of goodness, not evil, or wrong acts.  Let no man fool you into thinking murder can ever be justified, or a lie is harmless.  We no longer live in a time were an eye for eye, a tooth for a tooth, or a life for a life can be justified.

Jesus tells us we are to be like children, which are open and innocent, humble and caring, curious and receptive.

Jesus tells us if a follower of Christ sins against you, you are to approach them in private to resolve the matter.  But if they refuse, you are to bring two or three more followers as witnesses, and if they still refuse to address their sin, then the four of you are to report the sin to the church and the church is to go to the follower to get resolution, and if the follower refuses to address the sin, then they are to be treated as a non-believer.

Jesus tell us, "I promise that when any two of you on earth agree about something you are praying for, my Father in heaven will do it for you. Whenever two or three of you come together in my name,  I am there with you. "

Jesus tells us we are to forgive everyone who sins against us, and to forgive them  seventy times seven, or every time someone sins against you.  So that the Father in Heaven will give your sins.

Jesus tells, few are able, but those that can, should not marry and should devote their life to God.

Jesus tell us to judge others as we want to be judged.  Be wise in your judgment and discipline of your family, friends, employees, and others.

Jesus tell us through the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John that you are rewarded by your FAITH.  Believe what you ask is done for you will all your heart and soul and it will be done for you.  FAITH is the key...  Abraham had FAITH, David had FAITH, all the people of the bible had great FAITH.  David sinned, but was in God's favor because of his FAITH.

Jesus tell us we are to Love God will all our heart and soul, and we are to love our neighbor as we love ourselves, and that these two things are THE MOST IMPORTANT!

Jesus tells us, we are wise to keep ourselves ready and acceptable to him, because no one knows when our Father will call us home.  So live life fully and worry not, but keep yourself acceptable.

Peter said, "Turn back to God! Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven. Then you will be given the Holy Spirit. This promise is for you and your children. It is for everyone our Lord God will choose, no matter where they live."

Jesus said, "Don't try to test the Lord your God!" Do not test the word of God to determine if God exist or if he is listening to you.

Jesus says we are to let our Christian Spirit shine and to bring honor to God.  But what honor do you bring God if you do good works only so that YOU receive thanks & praise, or call yourself a Christian proudly and then act poorly & unmercifully to others.

Jesus says not only shall we not kill, but we are not to put others down, to degrade & revile them with our words, for if we do, we subject ourselves to the penalty of hell.

Jesus says we are not to cheat on our spouses, and we are not even to lust (to even think about being with another person).

Jesus says we are not to divorce our spouse unless they have committed adultery.  He further warns we are not to marry anyone that is divorced who spouse was not unfaithful, or we would be committing adultery.

Jesus says we are not to promise or swear an oath on God, or Heaven, or himself, or anything else for that matter.  You are only to promise by saying, "Yes I will,"  or "No, I will not."

Jesus says we not to resist an evil person. If someone hits you, turn and offer them the other side to hit as well.  If someone robs you of your shirt, give them your coat as well.

Jesus says we are not to only be kind to our friends and family, but everyone.

Jesus says DO NOT do good deeds or give to charity publicly so that people say, "What a great person they are."

Jesus says DO NOT pray in public so that people day, "Oh, Look how religious they are."

Jesus says we are not to babble endlessly and use repetitive phrases when we pray, for that is how heathens pray.

Jesus says we are not to tell others when we fast, or to make faces so others know that we are fasting.

Jesus says we are not to store up treasures on earth, but rather is heaven.  In other words, there is no need to store wealth that you cannot take with you, rather focus living a good life, doing good deeds, and loving and honoring God.

Jesus says we cannot serve two masters but only God the Father.  So while money, and riches can be a tool to help us, that is all they are to be - a tool.  We are never to love money or our riches.  They should never be something we cannot live without.  For money and riches may come and go, but loving God brings true wealth.

Jesus tells us not to worry about any of our needs (food, or housing, or clothing), for God will always provide us with all we need and more.

Jesus tells us we are not to judge others, for if we do, God will judge us in equal portion.

Jesus tells us our sins can be forgiven, even if you speak against the son of man, but... anyone that speaks against the Holy Spirit can NEVER be forgiven, in this life or the life to come.

Jesus tells us we are to follow the teachings of God and NOT the teachings of man (Pastors, Priests, Ministers), for man may twist God's word to suit their philosophy, but the word tells the truth.  Be careful.

Jesus tell us we are not to mistreat the children of God.  Woe to anyone that makes a child of God turn away from God because of their deeds.

Jesus tells us, we are not to divorce unless our spouse is unfaithful, and if we do, and marry someone else, we will be committing adultery.

Jesus tells us, it is extremely hard for a rich man to make it into heaven.  The reason is simple, they all to often love their money more than God, for they are not willing to give it up.  Wealth is not bad, but we must be willing to walk away from it to follow God & Christ if called upon.  For we are not to put anything in front of God... That includes money, our spouse, our children, nothing.  Remember Abraham, as he was willing to sacrifice his only son for the love of God.  God saved the child, for it was only a test, but we must be willing to pass the same test if asked.

Jesus said, "And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven."  My kids call me Dad, for they have only one Father.

Jesus tells us not to be hard of heart, to walk pass a beggar and leave them empty handed, or a person in need without helping, for the beggar or the needy could be an angel testing you, and you don't want to be at the gate of heaven and be told, "When I was thirsty did you give me something to drink, or when I was hungry something to eat, or when I was cold did you give me shelter or coat to keep me warm?  No... you passed me by and acted like you did not know me, so now I don't know you, be gone."
